LOL, you mean like ATI did with MSRP of the x1800xt? ATI told every reviewer at launch MSRP of $549, but in reality ATI set the MSRP in the dist. channel at $599.
From Techdata. Date 11-05-05. Distributors dont set MSRP, ATI does..

I dont remember you complaining when xt's were selling for $699+. The mantra I believe was give it a few weeks, give it a few weeks. You were never interested in the GTX512 as a purchase, I posted a link as you stated you looked in every hellhole to find one but couldnt. This thread is nothing more than a feel good attempt for the ATI petting zoo around here. If you look around various forums it seems there are more GTX512 owners than XT's. Yea supply sucks, and price gouging sucks too, maybe samsung wasnt quite honest when they said 1.1 memory was available in mass production. Samsung being dishonest, nooo say it aint so. Yes Im going to use low availability of memory as a reason for tight supply, why not, thats what ATI fans said was the problem with supply of the x800xt pe. I wonder why 6800 ultras were available in higher numbers but used the same memory. Go ahead and bitch and moan its your purogative. The real losers will be people who shelled out $600+ for x1800xt only to see it replaced with R580 in 2 months. Enjoy your complain about Nvidia thread, Brit everyone who reads any number of forums around the web knows you prefer ATI. So take a little advice go buy your x1800xt relax and play a few games.
